An Evening with Richard Louv

On Thursday, September 22, Richard Louv, author of nine books about the connections between family, nature and community including Last Child in the Woods, The Nature Principle, and, most recently, Vitamin N: The Essential Guide to a Nature Rich Life, will speak at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain. The title of his talk is β€œThe Hybrid Mind: The more high-tech our lives become, the more nature we need.” The event will be held at 7:00 pm in the Washburn Center. The program will also include a question and answer session followed by a book signing. Vitamin N, his latest book, will be available for purchase at the event.

The evening is being sponsored by the Environmental Educators of North Carolina (EENC) as a preconference event for the organization's 25th Anniversary Conference which will be held at the Blue Ridge Assembly September 23 - 25. EENC members can attend the presentation for free!  Admission for non-EENC members is $10.00.

You must register to attend this event!  Even if you are have already registered for the EENC conference.  Please complete the registration form below.  

Parking is limited at the Blue Ridge Assembly, so we strongly encourage carpooling. The YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly is located at: 84 Blue Ridge Assembly Drive Black Mountain, NC 28711
