Don't Waste It! Workshop (Central Section)

Don’t Waste It! is an educator guide that includes 11 lessons covering five themes: municipal solid waste, recycling, plastics, composting, and landfills. Don’t Waste It! is for both formal and non-formal educators with lessons for pre-K to 12th graders that can easily be adapted for adult audiences. Each lesson includes a group activity, independent practice, extensions, and additional activities. This workshop will provide a base of knowledge needed to teach each lesson, run through many of the lessons, and each attendee will receive a Don’t Waste It! guide and some lesson materials.

Earning Credit: This course qualifies for 7 hours Criteria I or Continuing Education Credit for EE Certification Program Enrollees, and may qualify for 0.7 CEU's

Registration: $10 for EENC members, $15 for general registration.  

Other Information:
Bring your own lunch or be prepared to drive offsite to purchase your lunch in Pittsboro.  If the weather cooperates, we will be outside part of the day.
